International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and also making a call to action for accelerating gender balance. The theme for this year is 'Balance for Better' This highlights the need for a call to action for accelerating gender balance.
With funds from the Karo Kura Grants Partnership and facilitated by Purposeful Productions, cash transfers will be given out to 20 out of school adolescent girls in two communities in the Western Area Districts.
The ceremony will take place at the Other Ranks Canteen, Wilberforce on Saturday 9th March 2019
